Wayne Dunlap believes that America is a wonderful country. He is running for Congress because he is worried that important opportunities and freedoms he has enjoyed may not be available to our children and grandchildren. Wayne Dunlap was an Economics professor at San Diego State University and owned and managed businesses in San Diego for the past 27 years. He knows that America can maintain a strong economy by reducing taxes, eliminating unnecessary government spending, providing better job opportunities through better education, and having hard working Americans keep more of their income. Money spent in the private sector creates more jobs and prosperity than money spent by government.
With proper immigration reform, we can control immigration and reduce the threat from terrorism. We need to do this while balancing the need to secure our borders with our country's economic needs for vital labor skills.
Wayne Dunlap will make it the highest priority to have all Federal firefighting resources in San Diego coordinated with State and Local and get to the fire as soon as possible day 1. We also need to insure that southern California has a reliable source of water.
